NetStrategy was created in the late 80's to better serve the information technology needs of organisations in Australia. The company was originally established as a value-added reseller (VAR) specialising in cross platform network and server technologies.

While our integration group engaged with customers right up to Federal Government, defence and major Telcos, we recognised that the small to medium marketplace had some special needs.

We learned that the requirements of small and midsize businesses extend beyond the occasional implementation or migration. By 2000, NetStrategy began offering a comprehensive support package in a fully featured "managed solutions" offering which included help desk services, on-site services, and monitoring services.

We had already spent years fine turing a range of managed offerings that were made available as "point" solutions, and we saw along the way a need for a comprehensive solution - the ability to completely take out of house an organisations IT service delivery.

Thus the NetStrategy Managed Solutions division was formed to focus on this emerging market and to develop our NetAgileIT range of managed products to take to market.

Our model is both direct and indirect. While we have a wide range of direct customers across the region, NetStrategy at a corporate level had been partnering with a range of IT industry resellers, integrators and business consultants. We recognised that the skills and platform required to offer a truly comprehensive managed solution range was above and beyond the standard VAR.

It made sense to develop our NetAgileIT offering in such a way that we then make the offering available for "trade" customers to take in turn to their clients. In that way we can engage with a wider range of customers and focus on our core competencies.

Today our Managed Solutions group is one of the leading players in our marketplace with truly innovative offerings, methodologies and approaches that set us apart from our competition.

The NetStrategy management team recognized three emerging trends that would effectively overcome the shortcomings of traditional network support provided by independent consultants, network integrators, part-time and /or dedicated IT resources. By 1999, the increased use of the internet allowed for greater business to business connectivity, advanced remote monitoring tools made it possible for engineers to solve problems from any location, and the cost of network devices required to establish a secure internet connection was rapidly decreasing. These elements allowed NetStrategy to create a support plan that effectively met the various IT needs of small and midsize businesses in a holistic way.

NetStrategy's management team are well-versed, knowledgeable, and experienced in the implementation, migration and support of enterprise network infrastructures. The team shared their extensive experience and knowledge in server and desktop technology with the NetStrategy Managed Solutions team.

Through years of work, the founders have successfully stabilised networks that were previously unstable, insecure and difficult to manage. After multiple experiences with such networks the founders of NetStrategy developed a better way to maintain a company’s infrastructure. A well-maintained infrastructure will maximize network availability and provide clients a greater return on their technology investment. This capability was one of the key reasons why NetStrategy was formed and serves as part of the company’s mission.

Today, NetStrategy has refined, tested and perfected the managed service model. With an unmatched combination of technical, business, and customer-focused personnel, NetStrategy is able to address almost any issue a VAR may face when switching its business from the roller coaster ride of project-based business to one that has a steady stream of recurring revenue.

Today, NetStrategy offers its business and technical knowledge to VARs across the country. NetStrategy had already invested the time and money to learn, deploy, and use sophisticated technologies often used by enterprise organizations. To the founders of NetStrategy, it made perfect sense to offer these solutions to VARs across the country. Today, NetStrategy offers more than just technical solutions. The company provides technical support, sales support, marketing support, and training to help VARs effectively develop a managed service practice.

Through its nationwide network of partners, NetStrategy has created a web of trust and influence among customers, channel partners, and technology vendors. This nationwide network provides access to skilled and knowledgeable partners across the country, allowing VARs to serve larger customers and streamline communication between various IT service companies. Today NetStrategy has partners in 18 markets around the world.

We plan to continue innovating and pushing the envelope of worlds best practice in managed solutions for the SME market.
